Humor seems odd here, but seriously, am I the only person that "lung doc" or "lungiologist" makes more sense than pulmanologist.
Currently the pneumonia is the increasingly problem, it is spreading and not reacting to the current antibiotic so they are putting him on a new one.
The cardiologist thinks that the mitral valve will hold its own for the time being (anyone remember where it was on Monday? Change? Maybe? Think prayer could have something to do with it?).
So pray that the pneumonia starts reacting and retreating.

Hey, I am praying hard for TJ's recovery! The Lord's in control!
I love you all so very much, I wish that i was able to be there to give you guys a hug!
~Charissa Joy
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for the medical team which remains responsive and engaged in this situation in spite of all that has already been done. We do not take for granted fine medical treatment. We thank you for it and for those caring for TJ. Please Lord continue to provide these people who show how deeply they care for their patient. Please Lord, work above and beyond what they can do as well. We need you to intervene even in the midst of great medical help.
Keep the humor coming...please. We all need it! Keep smiling guys, keep laughing. It's what makes you great. We all love you. If TJ was up he'd be laughing with you.
MA - I love you!
There is nothing...no circumstance, no trouble, no testing...that can ever touch me until first of all, it has past God and past Christ right through to me. If it has come that far,it has come with a great purpose, which I may not understand at the moment. But, as I refuse to become panicky and accept it as coming from the throne of God for some great purpose of blessing to my own heart, no sorrow will ever disturb me, no trial will ever disarm me, no circumstance will cause me to fret...For I shall rest in the joy of what my Lord is! THAT IS THE REST OF VICTORY!
I pray for healing and victory in Jesus Name.
We wish you to know that McKinney Fellowship Bible Church is praying for TJ and his family! We are partners in the journey with you! Thanks for keeping us posted through the blog about TJ.
Father, may your unlimited supply be treasured by TJs family as they faithfully trust in you for his progress... fully restore TJs health in a manner where the glory returns to you! Do what only you can do! Provide wisdom to the medial team and guide their hands.
It is sobering to think that TJ was to be here with us in Asia Minor last week. We praise the Lord that He was in control, not allowing him to get on the plane, and thus, be going through all of this over here. We are praying for healing for you and great comfort and faith for your family. May we all reject self-sufficiency and cast our cares and worries upon the Lord, for He cares for us.
The whole Fullerton Free Church staff family is being given updates several times daily, and are standing with all of you in entrusting our brother to the Great Physician. Praying, trusting.
MaryAnn, I just got back from vacation so just found out what was happening. Just wanted to let you know I'm praying for TJ and your family. This same thing happened to my brother in law about 8 years ago and although things looked pretty dire for awhile he did pull through and recover, so hang in there and know that I'm praying for him and your whole family. - Kathie Tucker
Here are a couple of prayers from:
Prayer for Physical Healing
From Sylvia Gunter’s Prayer Essentials for Living in His Presence – Vol 2 (pg. 137-138)
Because of Your unchangeable purposes:
Your purposes are unchangeable for TJ’s life. Please give TJ every year You have written in Your book for him to fulfill Your purposes in this generation (Ps. 56:8b; Ps. 139:16).
On the basis of Your ownership:
TJ belongs to You. You made TJ and bought TJ at the price of the death of Your Son on the cross. You call TJ’s physical body the temple of Your Holy Spirit. We trust You to take care of what is Yours.
I appreciate praying with my brothers and sisters around the world, as it helps me know how to pray. I hope these prayers will also help and encourage us all.
Rachel Bliss - Rockford, IL
Dear TJ,
We have been praying since we heard two days ago about your condition. We are praying Psalm 34 for you, which says (verse 4-7) "I sought the Lord, and He answered and delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed. This poor man cried and the Lord heard him and saved him out of all his troubles, The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him and delivers them."
Jim and Lisa Johnston, Cambridge, U.K.
Father we just lift up TJ to you Oh Lord and we ask that you would heal his body. Lord we ask that you would cure this pneumonia, remove the fluid from TJ's lungs and heal his heart. Father be with Mary Ann, Jonny, Steven, Gordon, Bonnie and the rest of the Addington family and friends as they continue to wait. Father comfort them and give them the peace that surpasses all understanding. Help them to find joy in a time when there is none. Lord grant the doctors and nurses wisdom and energy to make good decisions. Lord we pray this all in your name Amen.
