The plans for the extubtation are to keep TJ on the C-PAP until 8:00pm tonight, then put him back on the vent overnight, and again put him back on the C-PAP tomorrow at 6:00am.
This, of course, depends on how well TJ tolerates being off the vent. He could be put back on the vent earlier if his toleration of the C-PAP declines. To wit, as long as his sats and respiratory rate stay in an acceptable range they'll keep him on the C-PAP.

Praise the Lord for his gracious healing for TJ. The prayers of God's people are rising as incense before the throne and we will keep praying for complete healing. We'll also be praying for all the "intermediate" answers to the prayer requests as well.
-Oh, my friends,
-You are tired and weary;
-You are worried.
-The short-term future of your beloved is uncertain,
-And you are beginning to experience a fog.
-You ask for a prayer...
-That God would continue to heal TJ, above the wisdom of the doctors and the work of the medicine,
-And
-That He would make it clear to us that HE is working.
-Do you not see?
-Clear away the fog!
-God HAS worked and IS working!
-Must He work as a magician in order to be seen?
-Must He perform slight of hand to be appreciated?
-Can He not work as Father?
-Can He not work as Sovereign God?
-Open your eyes and look around the hospital room.
-Do you see anything
-...that is NOT from God?
-...that does NOT show God's goodness?
-...that does NOT speak of God in some way?
-...No, there is nothing.
-Medical knowledge does not spring forth from the ground,
-Medical equipment does not grow on trees,
-And even surgical tubing does not grow on plants.
-Apart from God's human race,
-Created in His image,
-There is not another living creature on the planet
-...That seeks to study and learn as doctors and others do,
-...That works to "create" as an inventor does,
-...That accumulates and transmits knowledge as scientists do,
-...That evaluates situations as thinkers do,
-...That dominates the earth as mankind has done,
-...according to God's original command.
-Is not this God at work through his miraculously-created God-imaged mankind?
-The true believer will ponder the answer!
-God usually uses His people
-Rather than miraculous signs
-To evangelize the lost
-(surely a task more important than medicine);
-So perhaps, too,
-(let me not be surprised)
-He may use His created people
-To heal the sick
-Instead of inexplicable appearances.
-For the genuine believer God receives the glory in either case,
-(though some may not attribute it thusly),
-And surely both cases are God's miracles.
-The miracle more dramatic to human eyes
-And the more instantaneous one
-Is perhaps the form more sought-after;
-The other miracle occurred at creation
-And continues on in ordered fashion,
-And is the one that requires
-Seeking eyes and hearts
-To discover its full and holy glory!
-Thank You sovereign God for working in TJ's life,
-Thank You my Father for revealing yourself to us all.
-May You, the only Lord and Savior, receive all the honor and glory!

The words that have been on my heart all afternoon are from Isaiah 40:28-31. "Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and His understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." This is my prayer today for you all - but especially for TJ as he does the hard work of breathing.
