Quiet Night

TJ had a quiet night last night, with no major incidents. Mary Ann also was able to get a solid 6 hours of sleep, so praise God for good rest!

As doctors rounds get going and we learn more (we hope to learn more!) we'll keep you posted.

As always, continued prayers are our biggest request.

It is only when I dare to dream about the unheard of and trust God for the incredible, that I begin to understand the power of prayer.

Ah, thank God for a good night.

You’ve all been on my heart and mind since I heard about T’s illness a couple weeks ago (through the First Free prayer chain) – and I have been asking God to hold you close, and fix your heart and lungs, T. I pray, too that your main consciousness, while you are unconscious, is of God being with you in every cell and synapse.

I’m also praying for all you valiant family members keeping watch, staying near, that God will hold you close and sustain you as you help manage this ongoing medical “passage”. It takes a village!

About 4 years ago, I was in your ICU for a couple days – with all those tubes and monitors – quite relieved when I got to move to the 7th floor. Your uncle, Roger, was a couple floors away, doing his physical therapy. I wasn’t allowed to go off the floor, so I couldn’t visit him – but we talked on the phone, and Ruth and your dad stopped by and were a great encouragement to my parents and me. (And I got to meet your sister and her little boy when she visited me with her husband, Tom.) Your family contributed lots to the village that supported me in my relatively simple medical crisis.

And many prayer chains moved me to be amazed, not just at how God acted so particularly on my case! But also at how potent and loving the church is when this particular battle (against disease and decay) is engaged. It’s a joy to me to see it in action, multiplied, again and again, and I wanted you to know, I’m praying for you.
