My comment is only a slight correction. The trans-esophageal echocardiogram (TEE) is a long tube that goes part way down the esophagus, but does not enter the stomach. Its purpose is to visualize the heart from right behind the heart, as opposed to the regular echocardiogram which tries to see it from the front of the chest wall where things like ribs get in the way. Check out: http://www.heartsite.com/htmlThe cardiologist just came back and said that the valves look fine, no abscess. He described the mitral valve leak as "moderate," not severe. (c.f., this post)/tee.html for some diagrams.
One of the doctors confirmed that there is a secondary infection, somewhere. It is the white blood cell count and temperature that point things this direction.
So you can pray that we find it, and preferably, find it quickly. We -- the family, and our closest friends -- are praying that we find it today.

We will continue to pray and especially that they will find this secondary infection and be able to treat it quickly.

The S. Goransons from NW MN assure you of our prayer support, as well. Thank you for the updates. JG
Dear Mary Ann and Family,
Yesterday, as I preached on Herod, I contrasted him with who we are as believers. God came to us at Christmas to give us Himself. He wants us, unlike Herod, but like Mary and Joseph to be humble recipients. This battle places TJ and you all in this continual state of having to be humble recipients. We have no self sufficiency, but we must rely on God's strength in our weakness. Today, praying with you for this secondary infection to be diagnosed and treated immediately. Love you all and I am believing God for TJ's healing.

Praising God that there was no abscess. Praying for strength for you all! Also praying that they will find the secondary infection today. Thanks again for keeping us so well informed.
Brax and I have been busy this weekend, but still keeping up with the blog and praying. Just wanted you to know!
Love from Kim!
