Quick question for a few of you while people are still tuning into the blog: When was the last time you can remember TJ staying in the same city for so long? This aimed specifically at LN, RP, and TJ's mother, all people who more or less kept track of this during different time periods, and that I know watch the blog.
My guess is that TJ hasn't spent this much time in the Twin Cities (or somewhere else on vacation) in one stretch in at least 10 years. We are at 39 days in the hospital, 43 days in the Twin Cities...

So happy for TJ's recovery! We follow closely and pray, and now rejoice with you! God bless you all.
you could tease tj about the amount of "face time" that you've had with him lately. (and that he is such a good listener :)
Praises for God's glory in TJ's healing and recovery.
Praising God in Cambridge for TJ's recovery! Our hearts and prayers will stay with you in the months of recovery, etc.

Wow. What an awesome God we serve! Congratulations A. family! Continuing to pray for expeditious recovery to full health.
I have actually thought about this. I remember receiving a letter for the plans for 2008 in which he planned a sabatical of sorts... Our Lord has different plans for TJ, and we cannot fathom them yet. However, He has brought TJ back for a specific purpose. He will reveal this to TJ and the family in His perfect timing. I can only speculate... People do not come out of something like this the same person. They are changed... Isaiah 6:8 comes to mind, "Here I am Lord, send me". Isaiah was a dedicated follower of the Lord, but the "confrontation" forever changed him and he was ready for more significant service. I have been praying for revelation for the family and TJ. It is exhilarating to watch, and we remain so grateful for the blog and the updates. Blessings, Chris
Dear TJ, Mary Ann, and family,
What amazing news--to get to go home. That is an amazing answer to thousands of prayers. And the reason God has answered our prayers is that He knows us and we we know Jesus. The words come so strongly to my heart, "Knowing You, Jesus, knowing You, There is no greater thing. You're my all, You're the best, You're my joy, my righteousness, And I love you, Lord."
Someday, when you are well, TJ, this whole experience will be even more amazing than it is now. Sometimes the further we are distanced from a miracle, the greater the diamond shines. And in the quiet moments, God will make one facet or another of this diamond of healing stand out until every facet sparkles in the light of His love. In the knowledge of those facets of your diamond of God's healing, I pray that the Lord will counsel your heart and soul for the continuation and duration of your long and fruitful life. I have found that the counsels that come in both looking back and looking ahead are counsels that never grow old. Samuel Taylor Coleridge once said, "Advice is like the snow; the softer it falls, the longer it dwells upon, and the deeper it sinks into the mind." For me, I find that to be so true, for in reflection, God begins to unravel some of life's experiences. Some always remain a mystery. But in the process, He often unravels enough that the snow of His grace quietly falls on our souls and the discoveries and the lessons are forever. I love you. Have a great day today!

And .... when was the last time he went this long without picking up a book to read! - Arthur
TJ has not been in the U.S. this long since I have been working for/with him (last 3 years). He was planning to go on Sabbatical the last week of December 07 through January 08. God decided differently.

The years of supporting TJ's amazing work blend together... but I would have to guess that the last time TJ's travel schedule was "empty" would have been about 5 1/2 - 6 years ago. He took sabbatical time then to start work on his book... that was just before Lizzie was born and she turns 6 in April.
Hope the day pass home went well!
Blessings,
Rae
