Status of the clot

They did a doppler study of both arms on Friday and the left arm is clear but the clot on the right is essentially unchanged so they restarted blood thinner shots again yesterday. TJ is not fond of the pureed food at the hospital. He needs to eat more to exercise his throat for swallowing safely to get the feeding tube out. The tube is really in the way of getting food to his mouth since it goes through the nose and hangs down. I put some Irish stew in the crock pot last night so I can puree that for him and the aroma woke me up- I think it will definitely have a lot more flavor than hospital food! I am also going to make some chicken (which will be pureed) and mashed potatoes and gravy for him. I make awesome chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy. We might just have to have you all over for some when this is all over. I won't even puree it.

Blessings!

Mary Ann

How excited- guardedly so, you must be. We are about ready to head for our little FC down here in FL but wanted to see if anything new had happened. Will continue to pray for the clot too. Love you, Joni

Wouldn't it be wonderful if you could package the aroma of the stew cooking and release it in the hospital room? That would lift spirits! Continuing to pray for complete healing (including the valve).

I'm sure your home cooked flavored food even pureed will encourage TJ.
Will keep praying about the clot and complete healing.

Psalm 46
1 God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble.
2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way
and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
10 "Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth."
11 The LORD Almighty is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress.
Selah

James 5:
13Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise. 14Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. 15And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. 16Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

I knew God would heal Tim - I just didn't know if it would be at home or with us. I am thrilled it is with us. It has been a great privalage to pray for Tim and all of you as well. I will keep praying as Tim heals and pray for patinece and energy for all of you as well.
God Bless

Dear TJ, Mary Ann, and family,

It has often been said, "The distinuishing mark of the true Church is an abounding and overflowing gratitude." I believe the words flowing around your family and you, TJ, sound like the true Church. Praying for the healing to continue and for the clot to be removed by the grace of God. Praying also for the mitral valve in the heart to be touched and healed as you convalesce. God is able. We are believing God with you and for you. Love you,

Pastor Rich Carlson, Supt. IWD
