CT Scan, etc.

30 minutes ago TJ had a CT scan of his abdomen to try to understand why it was distended. The scan was positive in that it helped to determine what's up, but we still don't have a working diagnosis in that area.

Coming up around 11, they will be running some more tests on his lower abdomen (sigmoidoscopy). This isn't anything too special either way, but is encouraging because it is at least a small step in the right direction. It does have the potential to be very painful, so please keep that in mind especially as you pray.

His vitals are still looking good, especially considering how things are going, but they are not bad compared to normal either.

Thanks to everyone who has been praying, and those that have sent letters of encouragement and love, they are all passed on to the family. It is comforting to know how many people are holding him up to Jesus during this time.

As always, we'll update as events warrant.

Visitors

We have had a number of visitors so far, and thank all of you who have come down.

However, for the time being, we are requesting that people don't come down, or at least don't expect to see TJ. Almost all of his energy is going into breathing currently, much less speaking or even thinking.

Again, thanks to everyone who did come down, and the many, many people that have been praying for TJ, and the rest of the family.

Little Better

Just so you all know we haven't abandoned the blog already, there is only a little bit new since the last update.

After putting TJ back on a Darth-Vader like mask (short of inubating him) and increasing his pain meds his blood pressure has dropped to almost normal levels and his oxygen saturation is up a little bit.

Thanks to everyone who is praying, it is encouraging, and as a family we place more faith in God than the doctors, even though He may choose to work through them.

[Update] Oh, and he is currently stable, although still in the ICU.

What's Up

Tuesday morning TJ was admitted into the ER at United Hospital in St. Paul with chest pain and breathing difficulty. After an MRI it was determined that he has pneumonia. Later that night he was transferred to the ICU, where he currently is.

His blood pressure and oxygen saturation are both problematic at the moment and he may be put on a ventilator soon. Basically, he is not doing well.

The best way to reach TJ or his family is to email or call Jonathan, his son, at 651.497.4392 / madjon@gmail.com, although access to either may be limited.

Updates will be posted here for the moment instead of mass emailing. If there are significant changes, we will revert to mass emails.

Thank you for all your prayers,

-The Addingtons
