Extubatian

The doctors are planning on extubating TJ this morning, that is, waking him him from the induced coma and taking him off the vent. They start by slowly unsedating him and watching his vitals, which they have already began to do. He could be extubated as soon as 10:30.

Apparently he had a really good, calm night as well. Details will be posted as soon as they come through.

I don't know exactly what that means, but it sounds like a little bit of good news so I praise God as I continue to pray!

I was awakened at 3 am and immediately began to pray for this brother I've never met. I will keep praying!

The latest comments from the leaders of the Congo Free Church (CECU):

Dear Kevin,
We thank you to update us about the serious situation we have about TJ's health. The staff of CECU office is with you in prayer for our brother TJ.
We believe that the Lord of miracles will deliver him from this situation.

Our family watched miracle after miracle when Matt was "walking through the shadow" a few years ago. The same God who brought him through will be the same One to receive the glory for TJ's full recovery too!

Thanks for the updates!

I was also awakened at 3 A.M. and praying for TJ --- How we praise the Lord for the excellent night and good report. We are praying for this extubation process right now. This is the day the Lord has made - we will be glad and rejoice in it. We continue to pray expectantly and with thanksgiving for continued healing by our Almighty God and Father. S and S

"I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed you can say to this mountain, Move from here to there and it will move. Nothing will be impossible." Matt. 17:20&21 Still trusting for a mountain to be moved and a miracle to happen. Joining with the praying and fasting throng for this day.

As difficult as the last 10 days have been, getting the MRSA infection may have been a blessing so that the leaking mitral valve was found. I know in my heart that Tim is going to be alright because God has walked this journey right along with him. God has placed the right people in his path to be His hands and feet to take care of Tim on this journey.
God's blessings,

And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:28

When this passage says "all things," that's what it means. All things. What happened yesterday. What's happening right now. What is about to happen tomorrow. All things. Embrace what life brings your way and trust that God will use it for a purpose beyond your imagination.
