(Hopefully) Last Evening Update

I just spoke to Aunt D for an update on TJ. The news is better than earliar today.

TJ's fever is down to 101. His heart rate has also fallen to a more healthy level (healthy for the ICU, not too bad for not-ICU). The heart rate should fall as the fever does. His swelling appears to be going done a bit, which is a good sign. His sats are up, which is good.

Aunt D also said he looks restful, which is a good sign, although it may not be a good physiological sign. But, heh, we'll take it!

As always, more updates as events warrant.

Thank you for all your prayers, they are wonderful.

Praise God! We will continue to be in an attitude of prayer and think of all of you. May God give you all some rest and restore TJ's body to complete health!

So glad to hear about the work our Lord is doing! We've been diligently praying and will continue to do so. Something we did for dad that you may want to consider after they move him to a normal room (or now if they'll let you) is softly playing praise music and hymns in the background of the room. We did it for dad and it honestly made a difference, you could see it on the countenance of his face. I know everyone has suggestions for you right now, just trying to think of what worked some for us. Take care of yourselves too, get rest. God can heal him tomorrow, but if He chooses not to it may take awhile to regain his strength and he will need alot of help. Don't push too hard in the beginning, pace yourselves. We love you all and are praying for you.

translated from a text msg from national ch-leader on the other side of the globe: "I'm praying for him right now. May God's mighty hand heal him."

We are believing in South Carolina and are on our knees. We are thanking the Lord for the triumphs..even the little ones. We are believing that God can do what he says he can do (and already has)! We wish we could be by your side during all this and we love you!

We are praying throughout our day for miraculous healing, strength and rest. We have the night watch your time so pray especially for sound sleep for all. Our 5 year old son, Ethan, is praying and concerned as well. We're lifting you before the throne from East Africa and will continue to do so.

You are a committed servant of the Lord and I pray that he will protect you, and that God will pour out his wisdom on the medical professionals serving you. May you and your family deeply experience His grace at this time. There are many here in Fullerton who are supporting you through prayer!

It is a joy to be part of the night watch, praying for t and all of you, as our morning begins, and you all are resting in God's hands. Praying for God's mighty power to be shown, asking with you for a miraculous healing, and rest under the wings of our loving Father. Thank you for providing this way to get updates!

TJ, may our God bring home to you a sense of your safety in Christ Jesus! May He assure you that your name is graven on His hand; and whisper in your ear the promise, "Fear not, I am with you."

Psalm 118! Especially verses 13-17.
Then of course verse 24: "This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it."

Starting the day in Rockford with prayer and anticipation.

Dear ones,
It was good to be with you yesterday and we continue to pray and knock on the door like the lady who just persisted and insisted before the judge.
Many in Wisconsin are praying as well as the networks we all have that reach out from here.

boys...will one of you call me when you are up and free this a.m.? (or when you get this) I don't want to wake anyone up if you actually got some sleep last night! May the peace and comfort of God blanket you all this morning. Aunt C

The Lord and I had quite a conversation about TJ before I finally fell to sleep last night--just lying there, praying, praying. And I felt like all that released me to sleep from the prayer vigil was that if ever there were someone for whom people were praying in every time zone, it's TJ. How dear the Body is right now, and how needed.

We're keeping TJ in our prayers over at First Free in Maplewood. Our choir remembered him in prayer before the concert tonight. Appreciated his message at First Free a few weeks ago.

I work as a staff chaplain (EFCA ordained) in the cardiac dept at Regions Hospital, just a couple of miles away. I know TJ would need to be strong enough to take a trip, but I wondered if there has been any talk about going to Regions for robotic surgery on his valve when the time comes (I don't believe they have that capability at United). If it is an option, it would be much less invasive than open heart. I have been impressed with the Regions cardiac team as well. Just a thought....
