Some Encouraging Numbers

The last several hours have been encouraging in several ways. For the last couple days tj has been on 100% oxygen, but his oxygen saturation levels have hovered between 79 and 88 most of the time. That number has been steadily rising through the night and hit 100% at 2:00 am. An hour ago they lowered his oxygen input to 90% and his sats stayed level. So now they have been able to lower his oxygen to 80%. We haven't been able to do this for at least two days - this is awesome news. So far @ 80% his oxygen saturation levels are holding steady. His temp had been high all of yesterday, but has dropped to 99.9. Heartrate is down to 110 and blood pressure has also improved. Praise the Lord for this wonderful progress!

Hallelujah! We here in Kyiv, Ukraine are encouraged and continue in fervent prayer for all of you.
3 John 2 comes to mind... "Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers."

Praise God for the improvement. Just woke up with TJ on my mind and in my prayers. A thought came to me. A couple of days ago you mentioned tree fungus and the possibility of this being the cause or trigger for the infection. Did TJ ever get the meds for a fungal infection? Is it possible that a fungal infection has triggered or inhibits healing from a bacterial infection? Is there any downside to giving TJ the meds for a fungal infection -- even if it is a remote chance that somehow the fungal infection is continuing to trigger or inhibit healing from a bacterial infection? I'm not a physician, but have learned that being creative and asking questions sometimes yields "out of the box" results.

Woke up at 3:30 this morning and began to pray. Finally got up later and was so encouraged to read this last entry.
We continue to seek the Lord on your behalf.

Praising God for these good numbers - It seems whenever I wake up, the first thing I do here recently is to pray for TJ and you all.
"Dear God, Revealer of Mysteries, reveal this mystery today. Great Physician, heal our brother, and bring him back to full health. As you reached out and physically touched the leper in Matthew 8, reach out and touch TJ. We know you have the power over this illness."

Great is Thy faithfulness,
O God my Father,
There is no shadow of turning with Thee
Thou changest not
Thy compassions they fail not
As Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be

Great is Thy faithfulness!
Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord unto me!

Summer and winter
and springtime and harvest
Sun, moon and stars in their courses above
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.

Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth,
Thy own dear presence to cheer and to guide
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow
Blessings all mine,
with ten thousand beside!

Great is Thy faithfulness!
Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord unto me!

Ruth and I stand by watching intently and praying earnestly having just gone through a nearly identical experience with her mother in November. It is painful knowing how you agonize each day. Roller coasters are no fun when ridden in the uncertain experience of a hospitalization. Be reminded again that God is with you.

With great love and hope and much prayer, Jim and Ruth Snyder

The details shared this morning lead me to think of Luke 12:7, "Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear you are more valuable than many sparrows." Glorifying God with you! It is so amazing to know He knows the oxygen levels, heart rate and state of the infection, He is in control, and He values each of these details in each of our lives--but most especially, in TJ's, right now. Continuing in prayer for all of you...
