TJ is up and moving (in bed). He is really tired after the extubation and probably another painkiller.
He is looking a little confused, and can't do much more than grunt in terms of oral communication. When briefly told where he was and why he is here he didn't look all too impressed. He is managing some half smiles however.
In terms of vitals he is doing well except for a rising temperatue, which just hit 100' F. He is also working hard on coughing stuff up.

Didn't expect any updates yet but thought I'd check and what great news. Even the "half smiles" must be wonderful. Will be praying for his temp and the coughing up stuff. Again, thanks for letting us be a part of God's miracles.

Working in the medical field especially in ICU, i assume that this is a very good step toward his full recovery. But it seems that most of these patients goes through a "Caring Delirium" they understand everything that's goin on, they hear everything but they cannot in exchange act normally. Mary Ann in this situation you should explain everything to TJ even if you don't get anything in return, just be patiente. he does understand.
