I (Jon) was supposed to do an update last night and then forgot, my apologies.
Today, for the first time in a very long time we were able to sit down for a Sunday dinner *together*, at home. IT was wonderful.
Tomorrow morning TJ will officially be discharged from the hospital. He is weak (his words) and tired easily, but moves around without a walker or other aid, including stairs. His post-ICU progress truley has been amazing, although there is still a long road ahead.
I promise that we'll have at least one or two more posts in as many days. We still don't know what we are going to do with the blog. It feels so intertwined with the whole story it almost needs its own closure. But we'll sort that out later.
For now, thank you all for your prayers and support. As a family, we don't know how to communicate how much it has all meant to us. You carried us through this by asking for the hand of God, and as other times acting as it. Thank you.

What an exciting though exhausting time this must be for you TJ! and for the whole family. It must feel nice to let out that collective breath that you have probably been holding for 40 days! We are so thrilled for all of you. I was anxious to know how yesterday went for Tim and it's great to hear that he gets to go home today for good. What an extraordinary time this has been. I think we all hate to see the blogg end. It's been a real priviledge to be able to pray for you with people all over the world. I think we all have a new love for you guys and feel that you are really part of our lives in a special way. Anyhow, I for one would like to keep on being informed about Tim and be able to pray with more wisdom for whatever the needs are. Praise God from whom all blessings flow. TJ the recovery will go fast now that you are home. My husband had ARDS and getting home was the best medicine. Dear TJ, Mary Ann, and family,
We have been blogging also with the former chairman of the IWD District. He has been near death over the same period as you TJ, with almost the same diagnosis. He too is starting to improve, and is off the ventilator. It is glorious to see. Folk in our district feel they know you and my friend Leo as they have prayed so often for you both. Though progress is forth and back, you are alive, moving, and now going home.
When Lewis and Clark were on their famous expedition, each night they would log the days events in their journal. Even when things were tough, they still wrote, "We proceed on." God is giving you all that joy of proceeding on. I love you, I rejoice, and I look forward to reading updates until you are back at work, TJ.

I had a dream last night: TJ was restored to full health and enjoying visiting with friends and family after Sunday morning worship at Rockpoint. :-)
We're still praying that this dream becomes reality.

Home sweet home! By this time of evening all of you must be exhausted, but content. Praise the Lord for His great love for you and each one of us. Praise the Lord for His peace. Praise the Lord for His great healing powers. There is so much more for which we all can praise Him! This has been so special and memorable. I have seen God work in unexpected and amazing ways before TJ's illness, but I do not think I have ever witnessed such a miracle as this! Thank the Lord and thank all of you for allowing us to be a part of it.

Home is wonderful! It's funny though how it just doesn't seem home without the ones you love there?? So glad that can be restored!!! Wish I could be there for uncle TJ's kids coffee (still the only coffee I will ever drink! :) Love ya'll. Still praying for the transition. Also praying for REST....real Rest! God's rest!
Yahoo! What a great combo--Jesus and TJ. We are rejoicing--and got to do it with the entire Europe RG m-team in Hungary last week. Precious times of agreeing together that we want TJ 'back' in full form and strength. Keep us updated, and we'll keep praying!

This is GREAT that there has not been an update since Sunday night! That must mean that he is doing much better. Praise the Lord for this! I am very happy for all of you. Did he get released from the hospital yet? At least let us know that much! Thank you.

The entire Christmastime was hallowed by the constant need to go to God's throne of mercy on your behalf - and our own, as we cried out to Him for you. Indeed, it was constant for all the hundreds who love you. I think we can all say that we humbly experienced the presence of Jesus as HE showed Himself; He intervened; He has worked miracles! The blog has become an essential means of receiving news from you all, and we thank you! May the days soon become "normal" as TJ keeps recovering and growing stronger. We love you. Thank you so much for pouring so much into this as you cared for your family and studied as well... it was a fine tribute to the wonderful communicator TJ is for all of us.
We praise the Lord with you and all who have been a part of this incredible journey. Reading the posts of brothers and sisters around the world has been inspirational, and we agree with these posts as we all praise God.
When you do decide to close the blog site, perhaps a post from TJ himself would be appropriate... when he is strong enough to do so.

After spending four days in the hospital this week, I can't imagine spending 40. Praises to the one who saves us that TJ is going home. Home is the absolutely best place to be. Prayers need to keep flowing for TJ as Satan loves to swoop when our guard is down and we are resting in God's goodness.
(As an aside to MA, my surgery went well. I am home recovering.)
