Evening Update

Unless something dramatic happens tonight this will be the last post. TJ is doing well, vitals are all good, and he should be taken off the CPAP and put back on the ventilator soon. He has done very well weaning off the ventilator so far.

Our requests for prayer are much the same as they were earlier in the day:

  • That future weaning also goes well (starts at 6:00am CST tomorrow)
  • That TJ's anxiety stays down as he wakes up (Mary Ann wants you to understand that the anxiety comes from waking up and feeling a garden hose down your throat).
  • Prayer and praise for amazing healing! (E.g., that his lungs continue to heal)
It would be great to have TJ off the vent tomorrow.

We stand in awe of God's amazing work. We stand with Tj and Tj's family and all intercessors around the globe that TJ WILL be off the ventilator tomorrow. The battle has been intense, but we know that THE battle belongs to the Lord and He is in control, and forever will be VICTORIOUS! Hallelujah! We look forward expectantly to TJ's complete healing in Jesus name, the name above all names! And we pray for a good night of rest and healing in body, mind, and spirit tonight as God's Spirit hovers over and cares for TJ and each family member.

As I am praying for TJ tonight the following song resounds in my heart:

To Him who sits on the throne, and unto the lamb...
Be blessing and honor and glory and power FOREVER!

The song was taken from scripture
Revelation 5:13 (NLT)

"And then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea. They sang:

“Blessing and honor and glory and power belong to the one sitting on the throne and to the Lamb forever and ever.”

All praise, honor and glory be to God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! Thank you Father for hearing us.

Am praying God's promises that "He will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is stayed on Thee" and that His peace would guard TJ's heart & mind in Christ Jesus so that the extubation would be a secondary thing to TJ and that fear and anxiety would not be able to take hold. That TJ's mind would be riveted on Him Who can do all things. May it be so!
